In their final game of the tournament, the Shockers got back to their dominating ways and easily put away the Maryland Chill Black by the final score of 10-0. In their third game, the Shockers had their closest test, as the upset minded 11u WHC Fever looked to knock them off, however the Shockers would be too much and defeated them 6-1. As the only âAâ level team in the age bracket, the Shockers were easily victorious in their opening two games, blanking the Olney Cougars Black 11-0 and Perryville Surge 13-0, both âBâ level squads. Their roster is comprised of #99 Kelly Lynch, #19 Tiffany Bearns, #6 Breanna Casper, #2 Kayla Clark, #10 Payton Pross, #3 Gracie Logan, #4 Courtney OâNeill, #13 Ashley Prince, #11 Imani Torregano, #1 Madison Vicendese and #22 Madison Churchill.įinishing undefeated in their first USSSA tournament of the spring was impressive enough, as is qualifying for the USSSA World Series, but outscoring their opponents by a total of 40-1 in four games was the real eye opener. The win over the Diamonds Blue was a culmination of their great play to that point, executing all facets of the game to near perfection. After an impressive 8-0 shutout over an outmatched Olney Cougars 13u team in their third game, the Chill tied a bow on their weekend with their most impressive victory, an 8-2 defeat of the Delaware Diamonds Blue.

In their 2nd game, the Chill relied on some solid pitching and defense to carry them to a 4-2 victory over fellow World Series Qualifier and class âAâ foe, the Churchville Lightning. In their opening game, a victory over the Great Falls Sharks â97, the Chill Black didnât get the bats going until late, but managed to pull out a 4-2 win. The class âAâ Maryland Chill Black finished with a 4-0 tournament record and won each game in a different fashion. Their roster is made up of Bailey Boyd, Elana Carr, Carly Costello, Erin Rickey, Olivia English, Tori Gordon, Kelsie Hegarty, Monica Lamm, Summer Meile, Annie Rafferty, Randi Rubinstein, Sophia Sommerkamp, Catherine Spencer, Nicole Stockinger and Julie Swarr. For the tournament, the Cougars White outscored their opponents 39-5, averaging 13 runs per game while only allowing an average of 1.6. Following another convincing 9-3 victory over the Great Falls Sharks â97, the Cougars White wrapped up their strong performance with a 14-1 shellacking of the Reston Redbirds â97. The âCâ level team handled their business in convincing fashion, as they soundly defeated fellow 14u âCâ team, the CFR Squeeze 16-1 in their opening game.

Participating in their first USSSA tournament of the spring 2011 season, the Olney Cougars White looked impressive at the tournament, finishing 3-0.
